Why is it that airsoft sniper rifles shoot farther and are more accurate than the regular AEGs?
Question by Chris: Why is it that airsoft sniper rifles shoot farther and are more accurate than the regular AEGs?
More specifically, say if i were to play at an event but the maximum FPS for any gun was set to be 380, wouldn’t that mean that since each gun cannot exceed that FPS would result in each weapon to shoot the same distance? Or is there just something unique about airsoft sniper rifles that make them able to shoot farther?

not at all sir
depends on what kind of modifications you make into the gun
for example, i have an AEG M4 with 6.01mm extreme tightbore and a systema hopup unit, which fires up to good 200feet very very accurately. that’s better than most snipers. (of course, i spent about 800 dollars modding this)
the edge of the sniper is in silence. while AEGs need to run a motor and therefore are loud – when you fire an AEG you’re at the same time revealing your location – whereas a bolt action sniper guns are almost silent. beyond…i’d say 7-10 feet radius of the sniper, you can’t hear it being fired.
