Wow, dumb comments. It is NOT illegal to own full metal airsoft guns in Canada. The clear receivers of the airsoft gun are mandatory only for the retailers, not for the individual owner. So, if you want to paint it black, or buy a metal receiver, you can. We do NOT require an orange tip on any of our airsoft guns. And to PuddleOfMudd25 you are allowed to own an airsoft gun if you live in an urban area. Whether you live in Canada or not, its dumb to go out in public and wave around an airsoft gun
Also, you can paint it, just don’t bring it outside where a lot of people will see. I’ve painted all of my guns.
If you live in the city or in a town, then your probably pretty dumb for getting something your not allowed to use…

In Canada (The best country in the world) Airsoft is considered to be “replicas” of real firearms. This is why you have to have it clear, UNLESS you are of age and own all of the licenses to own full metal airsoft guns.
ANYTHING over 500 FPS is considered a firearm.
This is why any other type of gun, like paintball, doesn’t have to be clear.
The orange tip is only for shipping reasons, once it’s past US border and in Canada, tear it off or paint it.
well i did some reasearch and it says so far that i read that only are legal if they shoot less then 500 fps.and, if ur guna buy, i think u need ur parents or an adult with u for saftey reasons. but for it to be clear, idk.

that clear MP5, I have that and it shoots 280-300 FPS it wasn’t cheap ether every one calls me a fucken cheater when I use it
fps is not from what the gun is made of…i only care about fps….but im in canada and i have a black gun

Other way around. They are legal for people that hold PAL’s, and they shoot over 500fps. Thats why people charge out the ass for Systemas, ect.
